Simple GPS app for the BlackBerry

Don't know if this will be of any use to anyone else or not, but I've made a simple GPS app for the BlackBerry and all it does is take GPS readings and average them against previous readings.

This isn't meant to be a final app, just a stepping stone to something more for the community, but features will come as time etc permits.

This may work on other J2ME compatible handsets but I haven't tested anything else.

I've registered for a sf.net project, and uploaded everything I've done to date, which isn't much in the overall scheme of things but I'm struggling a little with the GUI aspects, but I'll get there.

It doesn't do much at present, and the only way point is fixed, but once I have the frame work in place I can start working on integrating with geocaching.com.au some how...

URL for those with a blackberry to do OTA install: http://gpsavenger.sf.net/

Although you will need to install the images on the SDCard or MicroSD card before the app will work properly, I split the images out to keep the app install size down etc.

For those wanting to play with this in the BB simulator, you need to choose 'change SD card' from the simulate menu in the 9000 or 9500 version, eariler sims don't have this menu, and then select a directory on your HDD, or make a new one, extract the zip frile of images which you can download from the sf.net address above into that directory, you also need to choose 'GPS location' from the simulate menu.

I made the intentional decision to average the last 10 readings, rather than display the instant readings to stop the compass and location jumping all over the place when you aren't moving. So if the compass doesn't react to you changing direction immediately this is why.
