downloading gpx files [closed]

Post by Aushiker » 05 February 05 5:59 pm

Hi

Just went to download the gpx file for WA using Opera 7.54 and it comes up for me in the download box as a XML file, rather than a gpx file which the link is.

Yet to download anyway and try.

It will still work, you might have to tell Opera to open with GSAK if you want to open rather than download and then open.

Okay, thanks for that. I actually downloaded, in the end, in Firefox okay, but will look at changing Opera's handling.

Thanks
Andrew

I had the same trouble Andrew with Opera but I just renamed the file "WA.gpx" before saving and all was fine.

I downloaded one yesterday and it came done as an xml file, so I renamed it .gpx and once it was on my hard drive the file was called, wa.xml.gpx, so I renamed it again to wa.gpx and it worked fine after that.

I get the same problem and no I don't hide the extensions but I do use Opera 8. It still managed to load into GSAK okay...

Thanks for rewriting the code, but I can't really answer you now in terms of Opera as I have switched to Firefox. That said, in Firefox it works just fine thankyou.
