Cache hides - correcting numbers on GC Aus. site [closed]

Post by Team Pathfinder » 03 February 05 12:10 pm

Our cache hides tally on the GCAus site is 53 when in reality we have 58 caches out there. How do I get the correct tally listed?

I have managed to correct the cache finds but cannot find a button for the hides.

Are the missing caches listed on the gca site, if so, who is the listed owner?
If not, let me know the GC waypoint codes.

Thanks

I have sent you a list of 5 caches which seem to be missing from the GCA list via PM.

More work for you :)

Thanks again.
Sue

I have looked at the caches in question and forwarded the info to i! to manually update the database. They should appear forthwith.

GCA still showing only 54 hidden when it should be 59

Missing hides come from early 2002

Birds Eye View GC92E1
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_de ... cf959cd953

Pilbara in Washington - An International Exchange
GC8C61 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_de ... 5856aada94

Inaugural WA Geocachers Picnic Extravaganza GC8C61 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_de ... 9debc32d51

End of the Road GC5CF9
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_de ... 03d178f1b4

Caught Up in Red Tape GC9D08
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_de ... 357bf58839

I think that should bring the totals to tally.

Hmmm, looks like the list I emailed to i! with gpx files.
Most have been archived on the secondary site so won't automatically come over.
I'll enquire as to the status.

we has some email hiccups between riblit and ourselves. riblit sent us a gpx file but it didn't appear in the email at our end. we responded but our email to him bounced. such is modern technology! we'll give the emails another go and see if we can load your finds

we received the gpx files and imported them
all but one cache (pilbara in washington) was in there already
the others had different owners, eg

Code: Select all

 GC5CF9 | Ian & Sue Team : Pathfinder
 GC8C61 | Ian & Sue Team : Pathfinder
 GC92E1 | Sue & Ian - Team : Pathfinder
 GC99BE | Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder
 GC9D08 | Ian & Sue Team : Pathfinder
 GCJDKP | Ian&Sue - Team Pathfinder
which is why some of them weren't showing up on your list
so we made the owners the same
some of the caches were in there but didn't have a hidden date. this particular import doesn't overwrite hidden dates, so we would have to edit them manually. could you do us a favour and do that? the caches are listed as hidden on 1/1/1970
