I have not received a Vic cache update since 31 Jan 2005.

I checked my user profile and it has Aus Victoria selected in the country/Island/State area.

Any thoughts ?? :?:

They don't like you?

I'm sure someone will be around with a more sensible answer soon.

Cache Updates

Post by Gordon Patrick Samuel jr » 12 February 05 9:57 pm

We feel lonely and left out too. We were getting the SA Cache updates ok until the 1st February. We haven't had one in February at all.

but we didn't fix anything!

aha, there's a bug that stops the updates going out if there's no cachername. we accidently introduced it when we changed over to the new cache update code which handles watchlists etc.

team_diesel, we've set up your cachername so you should get updates now. there are 38 people in the same situation so we'll fix the bug. thanks for letting us know

I think the changed caches is a bit too enthusiastic and the new caches not enthusiastic enough.

When I started to write up Hidden History 8 on Friday I left it in draft mode. Yesterday, after placing the cache and wandering around the area I changed the coords, difficulty, long, and short descriptions and name before changing the status to available.

I'm surprised that the cache didn't show up under the new cache section and all the draft mode changes are listed.

sorry swampy, we forgot to fix the bug which was selecting logs dated within the last 24 hours as opposed to logs created within the last 24 hours. we've fixed it and it should work tomorrow.

riblit, we still haven't forgotten the bug you reported. (oh well, we had, but we've remembered it again now!) we'll take a look at that over the next couple of days
