How cool would it be to be able to view on a map all the locations an individual locationless cache had been logged...

You can, buy clicking on the Google Earth link, or the plot link.

I thought the google maps link did too, but I may have imagined that.

Due the hundreds of logs on some locationless caches the map will show what was logged in the area you are zoomed in to. This was a request from earlier in the year to stop hundreds of pins slowing the map down.

An LGA map plotter.

From your own cacher page (see my example below), choose a source and a state and Graph! Click on your name in the top right of any GCA page. Then select Graphs. Then select Australia Local Government Area Challenge

It will produce a coloured LGA (Local Government Area) map of the LGAs you have found a geocache in. Obviously for GCA, any movable cache will also be reflected even if you have never personally visited that LGA.

There are two maps produced, statewide and 50km from the state GPO as some states have very small LGAs around their capital cities. The map should be produced between 10 and 30 seconds depending on how many geocaches you have found which all need to be sorted into their LGA and the many, many points drawn on the map itself to outline the LGA boundaries. Be patient please

There is a known issue where smaller LGA's are totall enclosed by another. This is known as an inner ring and GCA does not have the correct data (yet) to process these out. So some smaller, enclosed LGA's may trigger a larger LGA to be incorrect coloured. We'll work on that and see if we can get the right data.

This new function is brought to you by the new Geocaching Australia server which was installed at the end of 2016.

It shows I haven't found a GCA cache in the Port Pirie and Districts lga, and yet I know I have. I logged a trig point there some years ago. http://geocaching.com.au/cache/tp5118

Thanks for that. That TP did not have a correct point set (an old data anomaly) which caused it not to appear in the right zone. It's been fixed now.

The minimum period is 180 days.
Joint finds will count for BOTH finders (as we cannot tell who actually found it first).
Overseas caches other than NZ will not be included as we cannot guarantee the integrity of the log data.
2 types:
- Find to find (days between the last find and your find)
- Hide to find (we use the hide date rather than the published date as we cannot guarantee we have every single published log)
Fully sortable (click the heading again to reverse sort)
Live and archived geocaches are included
If you think a result is incorrect, check the log data at Geocaching Australia for that geocache, if the logs are out of date, please import them to bring them up to date and rerun.

Wow, love this new feature! This an obsession of mine, looking for unloved caches and getting them back on the radar. Our tally comes out at 74,406 days or 203.85 years. I've been keeping a spreadsheet but this is way better. Thank you

I agree this is awesome.

When I tried this I got the following error message:
