Looks intriguing but not sure what is needed to trigger the caverns to search. Have found 100 gca since 1.1.23 but nothing like caverns appeared.

As asked above, if the game period started in the 1st January why do finds and hides made over the last couple of weeks not count?

When you start to explore a cavern only finds and hides on or after that date will be available.

0 Digs Available (Found / Hidden on or after 16th January 2023)

This stops someone from starting the quest in December and getting backdated finds and hides. Your quest, and therefore the finds and hides, only commence when you discover and start to explore a new cavern.

Any additional hides or finds prior to that date will not be carried forward or available. You can't build up too big an excavation backlog to hit everything at once. You should explore as you hide and find.

The quest period started from 1 Jan and I found heaps on the 5th and still nothing. Found 1 yesterday as well.

"Quest Period: 01-Jan-2023 00:00:00 to 31-Dec-2030 23:59:59 AEST"

I've tried to discover a cavern but get nothing when I go to

I notice that you get
0 Digs Completed
0 Digs Available (Found / Hidden on or after 16th January 2023)

I was going to find a cache today to start my journey but will now wait until I've worked out where I'm going wrong.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for highlighting that.
There was an issue in that only the quest administrators could see the quest. As an admin I couldn't not see the questif you know what I mean.

I've now fixed that and you should be OK to discover a cavern and any finds from that discover date will count.

So now I see a cavern when before it wasn't there, so something has been tweaked. How can we look at something on the 5th Jan when I found approx 100 when it wasn't available? I am not trying to log caches from December but caches I found during the quest period. I logged a cache yesterday, and looked at everything, so is that the tweak? I can see it. It says to explore but I have 0. Very confusing!

I get that it only starts when you discover a cavern, but there's been no caverns to discover till today yet the game period says it started in the 1st. Perhaps it should say that the game period started in the 16th?

I'm looking forward to having another game to play again.

They are in the Crystal Hunters section. i.e. They are hunting. Whether they have found 0, 1, or 1000 they are in the hunt so appear on the list for people to see how many and who is participating in the quest.

Not sure how to explore the cavern. Found a moveable cache today (GA18728) that we hadn't found before but after logging it this is what appears when I touch the cavern on my tablet. Thought I would have 1 dig available, not sure what I am doing wrong.
