GPX date format change?

Post by Laighside Legends » 29 December 17 6:16 pm

While importing a GPX file to GCA I got a lot of messages like this:

Updating date of log GC7DG7Z: bgmat Archived

Looking further into this log, it's meant to be on the 23/11/2017 but GCA now says 24/11/2017
The GPX file came from GSAK which says 23/11/2017

The relevant log in the GPX file:

Code: Select all

<groundspeak:log id="734797188">
  <groundspeak:date>2017-11-24T04:57:14Z</groundspeak:date>
  <groundspeak:type>Archive</groundspeak:type>
  <groundspeak:finder id="11134458">bgmat</groundspeak:finder>
  <groundspeak:text encoded="False">Event Over and need to archive to make the next event more visible.</groundspeak:text>
</groundspeak:log>
It appears Groundspeak now adds time-of-day to the log date field? GSAK appears to correct for this but GCA doesn't. For reference, the log got into GSAK via the "Get recent logs" part of the API access.

No idea how the correction works though - for the example above 5am UTC on the 24th is still the 24th everywhere in Australia?

(not sure how long this problem has existed for - this is the first import I've done for a few months)

Has anyone else encountered this? And what's the solution?

Forget to mention GC code of the example above: https://coord.info/GC7DG7Z
