Spikes in Graph

Post by crew 153 » 02 May 17 10:22 am

I regularly look at the stats graphs for 0070_finds_by_month_year to see the trends of finds around the country.

Most states are easy to see the trends except for Queensland, South Australia and , now, Northern Territory which have both had a large spike for 1 month at the time of the "Mega" events in those states. These spikes then make the "normal" stats for the other months very hard to read.

Although it is great to see these spikes for what they are, is it possible to scale the graphs so that the rest of the chart is readable?

Thanks. Links makes sure I am using the same information that you are.

Not sure how these can be scaled. The code that generates the graphs is pretty simple in that it only uses a liner scale. I will need to look into the code to see whether it can be done as a logarithmic scale. Don't hold your breath as this might take a while to get to.
