Impressive. At the start I worked out that while 38 was theoretically possible, I didn't think anyone would have just the right caches to achieve it. For the 'variable points' caches you would need to find all 22 within a total of 150 - an average of a little under 7 points per cache. You must have found a lot of micros!

I'm just hoping the podium positions don't change in the next two days!

Yep, lots of micros! Had to do some driving to reach appropriate caches. There were a few events which if you read carefully didnt require a physical cache, so GCA virtuals scored really low there. Also I hunted down a few trads that had "unknown" or "other" as the size... so again super low points which helped to compensate for a few I couldn't score low on. Still time for someone else who was handy with excel to catch me! Hiding has been the most fun and rewarding. I've been planning a few of these caches for ages, geosportz gave me the motivation to finally execute them \:D/ A few special ones in there!

For the next incarnation of the game, can we all get a copy of Zal's spreadsheet? :)

For the next incarnation of the game I believe the winner from this one gets a handicap :-)

I'll be happy to share after the game ends. GSAK was really the biggest helper for locating caches of a particular size that met each criteria. I still haven't put it past the craftier members of the community to have 11 caches ready to publish at 11:59pm on the 31st ;)

Last time I thought the site allowed you to view all the caches that were part of the game and who found what (and we used to go and laugh at the wrestling cache photos) Does that exist this time around?

That always happens when the game is finished otherwise people would copy.

Congratulations to the Top 3 on the podium.. I will admit defeat to a Forensic scientist. Well done. =D>

Can any of you say that you only started Geocaching a week before (with 5 finds under your belt)and had no idea what you just put yourself in for? I spent more time researching and too many times searching in the dark and wondering what the heck am I doing here in this creepy dark bushy park at 11.45pm. I should be in bed. And get my head read. I had to learn pretty quickly how all this worked. Coordinates, navigating, the apps and map reading, lots of turning my phone upside down.
I will admit I did search for really easy Mystery caches and really easy Multis because reading some of those complicated puzzles just did my head in and I do not have a mind for tricky puzzles, I am a word code cracker puzzle person..not numbers.

Well done to the organizers you certainly brought my competitiveness out and I am not a competitive person, normally I am a I don't care what you do person or what you got. I took the challenge and Geocaching like a duck to water..my new hobby and finally a group I belong to. The other big plus for me was, I always start something but never finish. This time for once in my life I started it and I put in 110% and finished it. Hip Hip Hooray. Finally made my mum and dad proud..lol.

Zalgariath..an excel spread sheet???....I have this A4 spiral notebook absolutely full of scribble.

One advantage for me being a noobie...lots of unfound caches for me. But no premiums as I have not paid for that yet.

Thanks again Geocaching Australia for an awesome adventure. \:D/ =D> =D> =D>

I couldn't get any help from anyone to do the relay so that is why I had to bite the bullet and do the aquatics challenge and I was just so lucky it was the right size and type of cache I needed. I just had to get those 9 bloody points to even up my points gained. It was do or die or fail!!!

Congratulations for you efforts Sam. You have also added 9 new GCA caches to the area while you were at it. It was great to watch your progress. So Close at the end.
