Duplicate logs - is there some way to reset them?

Post by MavEtJu » 25 January 16 10:57 pm

http://geocaching.com.au/logs/cacher/Te ... duplicates shows that there are 2x duplicate logs.

When I saw this the first time, I fixed it on the geocaching.com website.

Is there a way to "reset" the duplicate logs or rescan the affected caches?

We do not purge or realign logs that are no longer on GC.

You need to go to that cache HERE and you can delete the additional log by clicking the icon to the right of the log entry.

Aha. Can that be added to the duplicate check page as a work-instruction (for the lack of a better word)

There is the added problem that I (and possibly others) keep our own GSAK databases which we use to update the GCA database and even if you delete the duplicate logs from the GCA site then these logs may be re-imported back when I/we do updates from our databases unless we are informed and can delete these duplicate logs from our databases.
