Import My Finds GPX issue

Post by traineediplomat » 24 March 14 8:58 am

I had a nice crazy caching weekend along a couple of the Stanthorpe-Warwick Power trails, a casual 168 finds :). I promptly did an import of the My Finds GPX but it's doubled some and missed others. I've corrected the Sunday (18 finds) but the Saturday (128 finds) is where a lot of the problems lie.

If I reload the my finds, will it fix it or double/triple it up?

Overall my GCA stats are about 8 behind my GC stats, but my GCA has doubles in it :(

Wise Faerie People????

This cache had duplicates logs. It looks like these both came in in the same GPX file.

Does the file you imported have duplicates in it?
Please shoot your GPS file to caughtatwork@gmail.com and I'll have a look to see what may be causing the issue. Then we can see what needs to be tidied.

Sent.

I also noticed 14 others besides Black Stallion (Frog, Fruit Run 1, Fruit Run 2, Gardens Galore, Harlequin Frog, Kangaroo, Numbat or Banded Anteater, Pike #10, Pike #7, Red Apple, Shaa's, Terrible Lizard, Wine Country #1 and blue car) that have been doubled from 22 March and 3 from 21 March (Grimm's TB Hotel, The Cross Roads and Watching)

So it would mean that I might be missing 25 all up :)

I have no idea what actually went on during your load. We should never have been able to duplicate those logs the way we check them, but obviously we wended up with duplicates. We also ended up with missing logs, so something went astray.

Anyway, I've dropped all your logs and reloaded your GPX file so you should find your find counts perfect at 2,438 on both sites.
