is it possible to include the update of the forum post in the new post email notification?
ie when I subscribe to a thread I get an email but it just links back to the forum.
Can this email also include the text of the updated reply to the thread?

Our version of Phpbb is quite old and we are really not keen to change anything at the moment. It's also not in our version control system so changing things can be a little dicey.
Once we go to the new server and migrate to a more current version then we could look at it.

The Current 'new' server was reasonably second hand when we acquired it in 2009. It's done a fantastic job considering.
We are looking at purchasing a new-new server sometime in the future using funds raised from the shop.
4 cores and 4 gig of RAM just don't cut it any more and the performance of the site is getting worse as the database size gets bigger and bigger.
Life is currently getting in the way of progressing this task, so there's no time-frames or decisions that have been made in any way.
