Update of GC logs to GCA
Just out of interest (and sorry if it's already a post, I didn't see one), how are the updates done for finds on GC to the GCA site? It seems to be a 3-5 day lag. Is it just a weekly auto update or do one of the good people at GCA HQ do it manually?

Re: Update of GC logs to GCA
Yes, it takes 3-4days in general, the plus some kind people assist by importing their finds too.
We don't always manage to get ALL the logs, and but we try our best!

Re: Update of GC logs to GCA
I've taken to importing my own, mostly so I can see my hitlist, density, etc in an up to date way.
I usually do it cache by cache, but I'll occasionally dump in my My Finds pocket query.

I also update my FTF hitlist on a regular basis, hence the reason for my original question.
How do you import them yourself?

I have just joined the forum and had also wondered how to display my current finds and hides (when I have some). Is there some wonderful behind the scenes magic I have to weave first or do the fairies do it all for me

Re: Update of GC logs to GCA
Normally I upload PQs for all states at least twice a week but currently I am on a 23 day cruise from Seattle to Sydney and only have shipboard satellite Wifi which is very slow and expensive so things will have to wait until I get back home.

Re: Update of GC logs to GCA
I think something might be wrong with it. I have caches I logged nearly two weeks ago now that still havent come through. I'm missing at least 20. GC3NM9Q, GC3NBGD, GC3WA6B, GC3Q7PM to name a few...

As you are a GC Premium Member you can easily update your stats by uploading a My Finds PQ rather than relying on the feed.Laighside Legends wrote:I think something might be wrong with it. The feed isn't 100% reliable, it's a best-effort thing.

Do the manual import. That's probably the only way to catch up. With 40,000 or so caches to grab, sometimes the faeries choke.Laighside Legends wrote:I think something might be wrong with it. You will need to humour a newbie, can you guide me to which tabs are relevant? It is not apparent to me which ones I have to check.caughtatwork wrote:The faeries do it.Chrisval7 wrote:I have just joined the forum and had also wondered how to display my current finds and hides (when I have some). The Stats tab, The Details tab and most of the other tabs have stuff relating to your logs/finds/hides etcChrisval7 wrote:You will need to humour a newbie, can you guide me to which tabs are relevant? Re: Update of GC logs to GCA
Will do. It just seems a bit odd that its kept up for years now and suddenly it starts missing half my finds... The only time it ever missed them before was when there was an event and the cache got found 20 times in a day and even then it was only the odd cache or two not 20+.caughtatwork wrote:Do the manual import. Re: Update of GC logs to GCA
Blame the amount of caches, the rate they are coming in and also also being archived, which makes it EXTREMELY hard for us to keep on top of the quality of our feed!Laighside Legends wrote:Will do.
