When you log into the main site you name is case sensitive.
Log in with Davo1063 (capital D) and see what happens.
Re: Unable to login to main Geacache Australia webpage
I keep getting a message saying that my email address isn't validated. I've never received an email asking me to validate it so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to do that.
Seriously this is the most ridiculous process for registering an account. It's so confusing and all over the place!

Re: Unable to login to main Geacache Australia webpage
Our registration process is the way it is to keep spambots at bay. We delete around 120 spambot signups a day. This is only low in part because we ask new members to jump through a hoop or two. If we turned that off we would be inundated with spambots which would make members even more unhappy.
Now on to your issue. I have resent your welcome email. The email protocol is not a guaranteed delivery protocol, so your original mail may have gone missing. If the resend of the email does not work, please post back here with the detail of what the error message is and I'll look into it some more.
Please also check that you are not receiving the validation from geocaching.com as opposed to geocaching.com.au as they are different sites not affiliated with each other.

Re: Unable to login to main Geacache Australia webpage
Thanks for the reply. Again this evening I have been able to log onto the forum, but trying to log onto the main site gets the following error message
Sorry, that username/password isn't on file OR your account has not been activated yet.
I suspect the account is not activated, as although I went through the steps to apply for activation, I have checked back and can't seem to find a reply email with the activation link. Should I try to go through that proceedure again?
thanks for the help

Thought so.
Easiest solution is to change your password by following the procedure here: http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Chan ... r_password
Sorry for the inconvenience, it only crops up occasionally

Re: Unable to login to main Geacache Australia webpage
These days some sites demand non alphanumerics, others don' want them. Who can tell? At least the happy ending. Can now enter main site and log finds etc. Great helpful community though. Thanks again.
