Am I being a complete noob, or is there a special way to show GC caches also on the maps from the GCA home page? I have tried clicking on a state, doing a postcode search and anything else I can think, but the only caches that show on the map are GCA. All the FAQ says that both are available, but I cannot figure it out - anon or logged in, map or searches all I get is GCA ones. Last time I tried I recall seeing everything, but not now.

The front page (necessarily) drives Geocaching Australia caches. That's why the site exists. Depending on the contribution you have made to the site (finds) you will see different front page search options with more finds showing up the "Search for a Geocache" section which allows you to select Geocaching Australia or All. This avoid issues with new started being overwhelmed by all of the search options.

To get to these straight off, in the menu, look for "Find a Geocache" and from there you can search everything and anything selecting Geocaching Australia or All as appropriate.

Which one?
Most likely a challenge within the editor itself and nothing we do specifically.
Suggest you use this approach instead which seems to stick.

Typo!

http://geocaching.com.au/my/twinkle/ has the string "require_once" in there, which should be "require".

It might also be that the backgrounds at http://geocaching.com.au/my/twinkle/ have been lost...

I do recall it having a satellite image of Australia or the states in the background.

Oh strange... Well that shows how memories (don't) work!

Yeah, there's a plot somewhere that has the satellite images.

Yep, that seems to have worked. So many ways to do the same thing in HTML and seemingly no consensus on which way is the 'right' way...

It's timed out and so won't regenerate until tomorrow. Sorry about that.

Could it be changed so that if it fails it will show the last one which was generated and a heads up stating that a newer generation has failed?

That way you will stop people from asking this stuff over and over :-)

It fails most days :-)

It runs alphabetically, so by the time it gets to NSW it's exhausted. I am loathe to let it run during the day as it's a very DB heavy query which affects other DB queries.

I might have to disable it until we get the new server in place.

Alphabetical order would put NSW second?

ACT
NSW
NT
QLD
SA
TAS
VIC
WA
