That should be a nice enough time to visit. I would avoid the very end of the month because that is when school holidays will start in most areas, so travel & accom will probably be a bit more expensive, plus the tourist areas will be busier. You may be a bit optimistic to want to cover all of those...

Well done mightybent! I heard the interview on the ABC this morning but didn't realise this was you. I have only walked the City to Surf a few year back & found it quite tedious being stuck at the back of the pack trying to get past all the much slower walkers (& over enthusiastic runners that burnt...

From my experience (albeit limited) you don't actually delete the caches, you mark them as found, then they disappear from the list of active caches & show up on the map as an open treasure chest. To remove them totally from your GPSr you need to delete or overwrite the GPX file. I hope this helps -...

Happy to help out in the ACT - PM sent - not sure if anyone else has responded here yet. I hope this will be totally diabolical so that I can get some small measure of revenge for all of those unsolved puzzle caches that are piling up on me!

<p>These are a couple of websites that I have found particularly useful... <p>Firstly, if I can recognise the spot on the satellite image (ie there are easily recognisable landmarks), then I use this to find the lat/long: <br><a href=http://www.sirzman.com/gc/llf.cfm>http://www.sirzman.com/gc/llf.cf...

I was nearly tearing my hair out with a similar error just now - then I found this post... I then tried a number of options to try to fix the problem & nothing worked until I copied my text into Dreamweaver (web editing application), viewing the source data/code & deleting all the bolded html text t...

I had exactly the same recurring problem. With many thanks to the faeries it is now totally fixed :D - I have no idea what caused it to happen, but hopefully they can weave their magic for you too.

I was having another look at the site & see that all the GC cache listings that were created between 18 Aug - 11 Oct (at this stage) in the ACT have been archived on GCA (13 in total, including my 4). This only seems to be a problem in the ACT - I had a look at the listings for all of the other stat...
