Re: Any lessons for the newbies to be learnt here?
I generally agree with the sentiments behind the comments here and I love finding old caches, especially ammo cans in the bush. Re: HIGH SCORES - can you really find this many?
Agree it is about the places you go and "matching wits with the CO" and often learning something as well. I also enjoy the unexpected, sometimes quirky, encounters that geocaching throws up - be it with muggles, other cachers, animals or officialdom ... Sometimes the odd unenjoyable encounter pops ...

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo
With 2 days left of the comp I thought I'd have a look at the ladder as I last looked at it mid-December. Great to see the top 10 spots filled by WA geocachers \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ :gnome :gnomette Sure is ... and it will be fantastic if all of the new WA GCA players who joined up for the Gnome race stay...

And done! Well, the initial import is done. 176 records from the Engineers Australia database. 187 geocaches published. All are tagged with the string "engineers australia". 4 pending depending on confirmation from 3rd parties. 2 already disabled because of access issues: One is MIA and one is not ...

Re: Dragon Zone points
There is a senate discussion about a summer game again this year so if you're interested in getting it going, please by all means, pester your senator. They're the decision makers. The activity needs to start planning now so we're ready in time. There is a heap of programming to get done once the d...

Re: Is Geocaching Australia worth pursuing?
Yes, definitely worth keeping it going. I have recently started to participate more in GCA as a hider and finder and also yesterday attended my second GCA event. I now appreciate the variety of activities/games and cache types available through GCA and the potential to expand on these. If we lose GC...
