Cant connect etrex legend to laptop

I had this problem too with my Etrex legend. The only fix I found was to sell the Etrex and buy a 60 series. Therefore hunt around for the cheapest 60 series that matches your budget and comes with a USB and then your problems are solved!

Well to everybody concerned I think I have solved the problem :D Whilst uninstalling the UBD program (again-I usually copy the entire install disc to the HD and then install of that, saves having to keep putting the DVD in each time) I noticed that the version I had was missing about a gig of data. ...

try downloading this file and run it http://www.oziexplorer3.com/xtras/ubd_regional_v3_mapfiles_setup.exe This converts the maps for ozi. It worked for me.
