Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Can you add a checkbox to the import page so you can set the import to "update cache status" and have the default set to no? Most people are importing to add logs rather than changing the status. For those occasions that a status change is the desired effect I would assume the user be astute enough ...

Re: enhancement to field notes
My 2c I capture my finds including date and time of day on a PDA, the only text I enter in the field is related to swaps and TB grab/drops using an inventory feature on the PDA. I write my logs in GSAK using the FieldNote macro to load from the PDA and prepare for loading into GC and GCA. So once I ...

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open
Ok, so I know we don't have a frog hidden (yet! Life got in the way of caching!) But are you Melbourne cachers playing with me? The map below shows all the frogs..... the big blank area in the middle....yup that's exactly where we live. No frogs within 10km.....grumble grumble :stabby http://www.fac...

Re: Geocache Management Vehicle sign
Vistaprint created mine about a year ago. One car magnet 29cm dia (once cutout of a rectangle) + 10 x 10cm dia versions for around $45 delivered but that was a deal and isn't matched by Vistaprint today. The quality is good IMHO and the rolling-eyes-into-back-of-head impact on Mrs F was well worth t...

Re: Cache/puzzle spoilers
Just another aspect to this concept. A number of times I have walked away from conversations at events because cachers have been discussing solutions to puzzles. I understand that people like to share war stories but it often surprised me how oblivious some people were to the possibility that others...

Re: Geocaching.com Feedback: SHUT DOWN
Maybe they need to be a bit more honest and say "Groundspeak priorities and decisions were heavily influenced by community when the community was smaller, now there are so many competing voices we have to reduce that influence and make decisions based on what's best for Groundspeak. We hope we'll ge...

Re: Thumbs down to thumbs down
Trying to look at this from 20,000 feet ... Does the experience with Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down give us any insight into the current Reviewer model used in GC for caches. I think this is interesting... If Thumbs up/down was included for caches would the community be as quick to vote down a dodgy cache? I...

Re: Hello Everyone
I'm really upset.... my cousin Muff who works for the Pakistani government and is currently working at the Pakistani embassy in the Cook Island says he can't logon to the forums anymore! You are mean, mean, mean.
Now he says he won't find the 8 caches in the Cook Islands for me.

Re: Return of virtuals on GC, well sot of
I've been caching for 7 years, haven't found a virtual, haven't found a locationless, haven't found a Earthcache, haven't found a Trigpoint. None of these match my way of playing, if others want to "find" them and "inflate" their "score", go for it. In response to that statement, EarthCaches actual...

Podcacher.com has a 30 min interview with Jeremy on these, worth a listen if you want to hear how they see them fitting in. Re: GSAK V8 Beta
Just curious - if it uses the API to get the data direct from the server to update caches you already have in GSAK - does that mean you can now automatically get the data for archived caches that don't appear in PQs? Yes, tested this earlier tonight. Identified caches that hadn't updated, filtered ...

+1 for animal theme. An opportunity for garden ornaments to be used while giving scope for people to come up with other clever ideas.
So how much is a kitten from the RSPCA? (I'm joking people!)
