Re: Event stacking
There is no need for event stacking really. gc.com rules state that people are not required to sign the event log. So if you want to 'bump your numbers', just search for events and log a smilie. "An event cache can be logged online if the cacher has attended the event. Event cache owners can reques...

Re: Logging Archived Caches
How do you even find archived caches? Is there a pocket query you can run to see what's nearby? There is a bloke in QLD that has bookmark lists of just about every cache ever archived in Australia. I think his name is Crew153 (or something along those lines). You can run a pocket query based on the...

Re: an 'invisible' garmin....
This sounds very much like the issues I had originally with my first two Oregon GPS units.

Re: Event stacking
The last time I went to a "flash mob".. i still spent a good few hours caching with all the attendees after the event!!! They're pretty legitimate in my book. I've done the same but there was no post flash mob event in those days. These days it seems that people want to host two different events.

Re: Event stacking
I think more and more people need a smiley at every turn... This is my pet peeve of flash mobs. To me an event is designed to get people together to have a chat and catch up not a rushed 15 minute run around and disperse. People still want to catch up and that is driving the secondary events in my v...

Sounds like someone will be busy chasing that one down. Should keep the FTF hounds busy.

Re: How do I get mutual unfound query into GSAK?
Recently I learnt that you can actually use GSAK to perform this search for you using the API. Assuming you are using V8 you should be able to use the Get Geocaches functionality and go to the Advanced tab. From the help file: Not found by - You can enter up to 5 cacher names in the same format as "...

If you are talking GC.com finds there is no way and sharing of GPX files is against Groundspeak's TOU.

Re: "Throwdown" or "angel cache"?
This doesn't qualify as a throw down since you already found the cache. The argument is about people logging a find on a cache they have replaced to avoid logging a DNF I think that has been missed by a few. I was always taught it's uncool to log more than one find on a cache no matter how many tim...

Re: Australian Power Trails
Either that or it's a mean (not so)power trail. Has anyone done it in a single trip? I've done a few at a time but never more than 2 or 3 I think.Hoojar wrote:Do our 'In Extremis' caches count as a series?

Re: "Throwdown" or "angel cache"?
Personally if it was my cache I would delete the log and stuff their streak. If it were my cache, I would say thanks for doing the maintenance run. (And was this the only cache they did in the streak? ) If it was my cache I would have disabled it so I could perform or organise someone to perform th...

Re: CZ - what does it mean??
Could it have been GZ?
GZ = Ground Zero. The point at which the cache is located.
