Link in the quote is no longer valid. Are passwords on this site SALTED before they're hashed or just hashed? last time I ran phpBB it was nice but VERY insecure and admins could easily see users passwords, which is a security issue unto itself. Unsalted passwords which appear in a wordlist are quic...

phpBB Dashboard
Apart from http://forum.geocaching.com.au/index.php - is there a place where in one screen you can see - what's going on with your PM's - what's going on with your posts & perhaps something else useful..? Most other phpBB boards seem to have this kind of basic function, I'm thinking I just can't fin...

All VIC Caches in GPX format, one place, updated weekly
If you're looking for a simple way to grab all geocaching.com cache data for Victoria without needing to setup your own pocket queries etc then take a look at a project I made for me and close friends, but am sharing with my fellow cachers. the file can be inserted into GSAK right from the .ZIP - it...

just had another look at the ToS - it's been a while since I read them verbatim.. for those who love em : http://www.geocaching.com/about/termsofuse.aspx I can't see how taking cache information elements, collating them into one file, inserting a copyright notice honouring the original provider(s) o...

I'm happy to donante space on geotech.vk3jap.net - plenty of room there. just playing in PErl now to see how I can remote the header of the GPX file such that we can take the 8 PQ's with assosiated WayPoints and make them one file. then just a matter of removing the <sym>Geocache Found</sym> and rep...

Thanks C@W .. I think you've pretty much closed the thread with those words!, No, No, No and No..but your points are valid, so thanks for chiming in. a great scenario of how to take a game, make it commercial and control the world, profit seems to be the ruler of all logic from HQ, at least that's w...

Geocache/GPX Data
I've been thinking about the process of getting GEOCACHE data be it gc or GCA, perhaps could be done better? Personally I now use GSAK exclusively but of course the value of GSAK is tied to the freshness of your cache information. I'm now using the hidden date ranges to good effect and whilst this i...

One way to get around this is to create a query at http://geocaching.com.au/my/query that filters the caches you want, then click on the GMAP link. hmm, tried that, but that doesn't give me GC caches - only GCA - right..? From my knowledge the pocket queries on GCA can ony be in relation to GCA cac...

Google Maps
I'm starting to use GCA website much more but finding that the Google Maps function as listed via GCA seems to fall short of the mark when looking for caches visually. I'll normally just use http://www.geocaching.com/map/default.aspx , I like that I can select and hide different types of caches etc....
