I've been trying to get that to work from GSAK with no luck, any hints? ](*,)

Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software

Have a look at CraigRat's blog for GPS averaging: http://androidcaching.com/?p=128

It will help with your placing Gnomes but probably not your walking accuracy.
All GPSr's will tend to fluctuate a bit, that's just the nature of the beast. :-$

Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software

Does anyone know if it is possible to load caches on to the nuvifone and have them show up on the standard garmin maps as anything more than a small black square? I've noticed that if you load them into geobeagle they automatically go into the saved locations in "Where to", but I can't find a way to...

Re: calculate bearing and distance

One of the problems I've seen with Cache's where there's a need to do some sort of projection is working out which version of North is intended to be used. The Garmin O300 allows you to use True, Magnetic, Grid and User. I'm not sure how useful "user" would be though. And if that doesn't co...

Re: Newbie thread: Which Garmin handheld GPS to buy?

Today in the newspaper is an Anaconda Catalogue advertising a Garmin Dakota 20 for $349 which sounds like a good price?? (J) We would go the Daqkota 20 in a heartbeat. A few years ago we had a big caching trip planned with our Magellan 500 and the week before we had planned to leave, it fried it's ...

It's still less restrictive than the whereigo caches were when they first came out.
At least this time there is a larger range of receivers that are capable of the new technology...

We sometimes think that micros in rural areas are pretty dense...

Does that help? [-X

Santiago, Chile & Easter island

Spice & I are planning a trip to Easter island via Santiago next year and we were wondering if anyone else has been there and wants to pass on any tips?

Also, if there are any TBs or geocoins that want a lift?? :-"

Re: Identical generated logs

Mind you the "find x of xxx for the day" arent high on my appreciation list either. I did this on my recent trip to Brisbane but I also try to write a bit of a story about what I saw and thank the person that placed the cache. I will say through there were a few that blurred into each other! With 1...

Identical generated logs

Has anyone else noticed an increase in cut & paste logs? During the last few weeks we have had a few come through and for us it seems to suck some of the fun out of hiding caches. After puting in the effort to hide a cache in a reasonable area and maintaining it you would think that a small comment ...

Re: Wanting to join, need help and advice

You mean apart from under the help tab? At this point the answer is no. The more we make things prominent, the more they become less prominent. The front page is already too busy and I'll be looking to remove stuff from it in the not too distance future, so adding something else at this point is no...
