Any interest in reviving CacheMonkey?
I have been seriously busy of late with a new baby and massive work commitments so CM has taken a serious back seat, so has geocaching for that matter :)<p> Over the christmas break there will probably be some time and things are starting to wind down at work now too.<p> Seeing as I hardly ever geoc...

I have been thinking about some sort of found it list that could be generated from cachemonkey when you are online and when it is working and then if you are ofline or importing gpx files it can lookup the found it list so caches have the correct status. Also it could export the found it list so Wat...

CacheMonkey v2.0.3 BETA released.
Only 2 minor changes to work with the latest changes to the secondary site.<br> Just to clarify a few things, CacheMonkey doesnt download each cache page to get all the info it needs, it only downloads the list pages and then the .LOC file for each page. So it can get 300 caches with about 30 reques...

Ill have a look at cachemonkey again when i get a chance, might be today or tommorow. Jeremy is going to keep updating the site and this will 99% of the time kill cachemonkey. Im not sure if i can change the Agent name to Mozilla or anything more subtle, i dont even think i want to , Jeremy knows wh...

CacheMonkey v2.0.2 BETA already with GPX Import
Ive added a rough GPX import, turned out to be MUCH easier than i had thought. Ive only tested it with 1 file, and even then not very well. It currently only does what CacheMonkey used to do, but can be driven from a GPX file rather than downloading.<p> Get the new JAR at http://members.ozemail.com....

CacheMonkey v2.0.1 BETA and New release structure for now.
I have fixed up cachemonkey to work with the new login procedure (the 3rd new one in as many releases!) and the new date formats which was killing the last release. To make releases easier and quicker i.e. more frequent in this beta stage ill just release new JAR files at this address. Ill always po...

Here is the Java code, probably not much use to you, but ill go over it quickly at the end <pre> private static int getValue(char val) { switch (val) { case '0' : return 0; case '1' : return 1; case '2' : return 2; case '3' : return 3; case '4' : return 4; case '5' : return 5; case '6' : return 6; c...

I had a LOT of trouble with this error when trying to get CM to work again. It was related to the user not logging in correctly. Or accessing the wrong start page. I think you might need to go into the options and choose another state, then choose New South Wales again. See if that helps. Otherwise ...

CacheMonkey 1.5b EXPIRED!
The revamp of geocaching.com has killed CacheMonkey. I will endevour to fix it up soon but it has been quite a change. Dont expect a fix for a few days as my work commitments are huge at the moment, and my wife is 39weeks pregnant. So very soon CacheMonkey will probably be my last priority. Any code...

I have only just discovered this thread. It all sounds very interesting, but I would think geocaching.com would have started something like this long ago. Anyway, I have some good ideas. WML and WAP pages can be hosted from any webserver (so long as it is configured to do so) and are just a differen...

CacheMonkey 1.5b Released
This is the first patched release, and hopefully only patched release that addresses my bad guess work at how the new codes will work. As the numbers of caches get higher and higher they are doing some strange things so i will need to tweak the code to ensure it still works as time goes by. Get the ...
