Re: Cheap custom stamps - $4 shipped

Thanks for the link, just ordered one too! :D

Would have thought the postage alone would have been more than the entire order!

Re: Are there any other Memory-Map users amongst us?

Here's a link to a pdf file that explains how to get custom (geocaching) icons working using Memory Map & GSAK 7: http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/files/mm_pda.pdf There's also lots of further reading on this forum post but it starts to get pretty complicated!... http://forums.groundspeak...

Re: Are there any other Memory-Map users amongst us?

Hi Kenny, Interesting to see another memory map user! We've had the program for years in the UK as we used to run it on a PDA with British Ordnance Survey maps (prior to having a Garmin Oregon) but still use it nowadays on the PC with our NSW maps. We know our way around it pretty well and can help ...

Not sure if you can get these maps to work on your GPS as they're for Garmins, but we've heard that they are good and they're free...

Re: Geocaching in National Parks Info Needed

NSW NP's amungst other things, consider caches to be litter, as it is something that has been left behind. Just read the above and thought I'd just check the actual dictionary definition of the word litter which made interesting reading. Oxford English Dictionary: Litter n. "Rubbish left in public ...

Re: 2009 Cyber Flash Mob Topic “Positive Caching Experience”

We have lots of positive caching experiences, which is probably why we're so addicted! But one that sticks to mind is when we moved to Australia, being made so welcome by the local caching community & making new friends through caching in what was at the time a new and unfamiliar country to us. We l...

Re: Bluetooth GPS and Nokia N series

I'm looking to try out a Bluetooth GPS receiver with my N80 (stupid thing arrived a week before the N95). I love the N80 and want to hold onto it a bit longer, but try out some of the bits of GPS software that operate on it. Before I shell the dollars, will 'any' receiver work? Also, is there anyon...

Our new toy arrived yesterday!!! The base map it comes with is very basic but we've stuck better maps on it with the contours overlay and so far it seems ace! (sorry Matt! )

Help with PDA / PC mapping software please?

We've recently moved here from the UK (loving it by the way!) and could do with a little help on the gadget side of things! It seems that 'Ozi Explorer' is the way forward over here? (We're used to a program called Memory Map but after a lot of research it seems the maps are limited). If we were to ...

We are on the move

We are taking the plunge and moving over to Sydney from the UK. We will be arriving the first week of November. Just wondering what to expect on the geocaching side of things. Will there be any events for us to get to and maybe have the opportunity to meet up with other Geocachers?
