Movable Caches logged as found but not moved
One of our movables was recently logged as found but not moved. In my opinion this practice almost always, effectively sentences the cache to never moving again. I don’t know about other teams but when I research and area for GCA caches and see movable with the ‘found’ icon I assume they have been t...

Re: Ammo can thief - a geocacher?
I too have had three containers (not ammo cans) go missing and the log sheet/contents left in situ.
Quite puzzling.

Re: Graffiti in the bush/National Parks
My opinion of graffiti/tagging is the visual equivalent of a dog peeing on a tree to mark his territory.

Re: Displaying an image in the cache page
No luck getting the correct URL by right-clicking on the image however I have found in the edit screen the images show below the text panel with the URL in a box below the image which if I copy and paste seems to work.
Not sure how it works but it seems to work for me.

Displaying an image in the cache page
Hi Gurus I have made it something of a Team Ladava 'signature feature' on my GC hides to display one or more images in in my cache page using the HTML codes I found in a Wiki. (This is the limit of my coding ability) In one of my GCA History Caches GA8102 an image has displayed using the same codes ...

Re: History Cache
Love your work Guys In the Wiki the following is a very valid point - Hints, Tips and Tricks History caches are not "set and forget". Information at locations can change or be removed or updated. As with any other geocache the cache owner should check the information in the questions and answers on ...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?
That's the idea. When a history cache is identified, the Q&A section is revealed to provide the Q&A's. You can have as many questions as you like with a minimum of 1. As far as logging, I'm thinking that you "pre-qualify". i.e. You (as the finder) answer the questions. When you get them all correct ...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?
A suggested format for the ‘Historic’ Caches In the ‘Hide a Cache’ screen add an extra text box with pre-formatted fields for the Hiding Team to set three questions, each with four multiple choice answer options incorporating radio buttons. (This text box is ‘greyed out’ unless the Cache Type ‘Histo...

Re: Is Geocaching Australia worth pursuing?
Some random thoughts, many recycling earlier comments by others. I thing GCA should not try too hard to be a ‘me too’ site and compete with GC. I see its future as a ‘boutique’ site built by Australians for Australian Teams. There is a whole ‘Australian Made’ campaign out there. Try and tap into tha...
