Re: bigger and clearer Log Icons.. please?

I think on the mentioned icons [Edit][View][Gallery][Add Image] mouseover text could be helpful especially when viewing on a small screen. I don't personally think text automatically displaying above the icons would be helpful and could clutter up the page. Slightly larger icons could also be helpf...

Re: Leaving cash good or bad ??

Like giving a loved one money for a birthday present, it does seem like the easy, no-thought option. I guess there's a justification if there's a swap in a cache that you really, really want but aren't carrying any swag of your own... I have seen this a few times in my own caches, though I put this...

Re: Ghosts of caches past on Nuvi maps

I had to go through and delete them from the internal memory manually. If I remember correctly, it is possible to select all then deselect whichever favourites/waypoints you want to keep - on my 1390T it's under Tools - My Data - Delete Favourite(s). It seems that unlike the handhelds which only ev...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

You may not have changed the cache page. Someone may have loaded a file with corrected co-ordinates. I'll reset them to what they were originally. I always thought the code scraped out final locations, any waypoints and corrected coordinates? When I update my own caches I don't bother stripping the...

I'm afraid you wont be the only one. This will be a true turning pooint for OSM. It will either wither and die or people will step up and redo a heap of the work. I'm sad to say it may just be the first option...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

My antivirus software runs a clean once a week and I find after that I tend to have to log into all my sites again. I have always just put it down to that, could it be the same for you?

Re: Well this is getting trickier...

Since posting this 5 months ago, I have found 83 caches inside 30km of home (including 4 of the ones on islands), and the number of unfound caches has GONE UP from 35 to 36! Keeping up is becoming the challenge... 30km?!? I have 7 unfound of the 42 GC within 2km of home. 8-[ The saturation rate aro...

Re: How to identify a Cacher?......

Just don't say "are you here for the same thing I'm here for?" as that can be misinterpreted. Ha! That would have to be the best story I have ever heard about geocaching - it was from DAK's Emu Mob when he was in San Fransisco. What a laugh (for us - not for him at the time #-o ) I know a certain c...

Re: Help find story on Power Trail

Does any one know where the story that was posted about the power trail in the states that was shut down then was re opened to save the town it passed through? This one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5bDkQ8M_rM I'd say so. I was only listening to a Geotalk about this one today on the way home fro...
