Another place for cheap laminators is Australia Post (which is where I bought mine). I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it was less than $40.

[OT] Look after penguins!

'Only you can change yourself, and only you can change the world and make it better for people as well as penguins.'

Looks like a Jabiru to me! Have you got a real one? And a pilot's licence?

Re: Do you appreciate people correcting typos in your listing?

I am a pedant when it comes to spelling and punctuation (less so with grammar). While poor spelling and punctuation annoy me (particularly the Greengrocers' apostrophe ), that's my issue. I don't expect people to place the same emphasis or importance on language as me (or necessarily have the approp...

I was wondering how warm the Riverland was getting today. Only 41.3 in Adelaide .

Good thing you have the digital weather station. The thermometer might max out tomorrow and Monday .

I wonder if that website is trying to tell me something?
More importantly, I wonder if it is trying to tell *Mr* Wibble something?

Re: Snakes, Snakes, Snakes

Old Jindabyne Road was a happening place on December 29! The nine (mostly) sleepy lizards didn't really bother us, it was the snake slithering away from the general GZ area . I'm pleased to have spotted it actually. I could have had a very nasty run in 30 seconds earlier.

We also found GCA071 early last year. I see now that there are several more geocaches in the area. Hooray! Another good reason to return :D.

Re: 2010 news years caching resolutions.

I'm also planning on *not* putting out all the caches for Adelaide's annual 'Mad May' month. \:D/ That doesn't actually fill me with the kind of joy I might have expected. Instead I am anticipating 'Fiendish February', 'Devilish December', 'Unanswerable August' or something equally as unpleasant. :...

Re: Information package for the police

I have, but I do not actively seek out situations that I think will be confrontational (and this person sounds very hostile). That could just be me wimping out, though.

Information package for the police

I know that this has been discussed before, but searching for 'police' gives me 41 pages to trawl through . One of my caches has been drawn to the attention of the police by a vigilant* member of the public. One of the cachers that has been approached by this person described geocaching to th...

Re: Statistics for Finds in a Day

This *is* fascinating. If you had asked me, I would have said that we rarely go out for only one or two caches, and yet the graph says something completely different . We seem to have an odd fascination with 13 (the unlucky number) and an even fascination with 28 (the second perfect number) :o...

My stats (of caches that are currently available):
34 unfounds within 5km
151 unfounds within 10km
465 unfounds within 20km
869 unfounds within 50km
1144 unfounds within 100km

When I look at it like that it's heartbreaking. When I compare it to Freddo, well
