Re: GCA Android App - GA Cacher

I think I get what you are saying. I'll give it a go tomorrow when my laptop recharges. Might be easier than on the phone.

Thanks. :)

Re: GCA Android App - GA Cacher

I'm just trying to find out if there is a way to view a GPX file shared with me on a map in GCA or moreso on the GA Cacher app. I don't know how IT stuff works. The reason I raised the question about query + GPX file is that I noticed the GA Cacher app can access my queries and map them out, remindi...

Re: GCA Android App - GA Cacher

Hi mtrax,
Is there a way to upload a GPX file to the app?
I can see I can access queries but can't see how to upload a GPX file.

Therefore, my next question is...

Hi caughtatwork & admins,
Is there a way to create a query from a GPX file?

Re: Codeword Required??

I am trying to log a cache (GA14079) The geocache code you gave is for a gadget the cache owner takes with them to events. Therefore you should have been able to get the codeword from them in person when you opened it and signed the log book. Are you sure you are trying to log the correct geocache?...

Re: Geocaching in the news

I imagine the mother of those kids would be like, "If you didn't already have a cracked skull, I'd crack you one over the head myself!" Haha. I often wonder how i haven't ended up falling down rocks yet. [Touches wood]. But at least if I died that way I could say I went out enjoying myself. Wait, no...

Geocaching in the news

I had this article shown to me yesterday. Thought I'd share it here: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-13/father-saved-by-strangers-after-falling-off-cliff-in-grampians/103704314 They were possibly going after https://coord.info/GC9D45Q I'm glad they are all okay. That's one memorable cache advent...

Re: Challenge Cache

Yeah, I saw that but thought I'd try asking. Haha. I submitted my entry before waiting for a reply earlier. Duh. My preference from my submission is the 11 one. Pretty please and thank you. [-o<

Re: Challenge Cache

Is rule #5 concrete?
"One submission per geocacher name..."

I have 4 I've made queries (to make sure there are plenty of eligible caches for them) and am struggling to pick just one to enter.

Re: Challenge Cache

It's so good to see the challenge challenge come up again. I had a challenge hide planned for December but was unable to get to the planned hiding spot area to complete it. It will still happen, just not for a while yet. Now I've got the chance to try again and will choose something a little quicker...

Re: Icon Facades and Hats

More facade ideas:
Zodiac signs.
Space themed like sun, stars, moon.
Or seasons.
Or to keep with the state themes, iconic landmarks, natural or man-made, in each state incl NZ.

Just putting it out there in case you felt like making more :D

Thoughts and other ideas, anyone?

Re: Cacheopoly

Thanks for another fun game. I really got into it in December. I even made spreadsheets for all locationless colours. It was fun. I just kept getting the "hide any" tile and found myself hiding caches that I wasn't happy with so got stuck. I would have liked to play the whole time but couldn't get p...

Re: Can we hide some caches in the tweed

That would make it tricky to find lots of caches! Have you looked at the geocaching.com site? There's a few more to find there.
