Aurasma / HP Reveal use with Geocaching?
I came across an app called Aurasma/HP Reveal today, and after trying it out, I figured it could be used for geocaching. The only problem is that geocachers without a smart device can't access it. from wiki: "Aurasma/HP Reveal is an augmented reality platform. It is available as a software developme...

Re: Geocacher geocache
Can you edit a Geocacher geocache from locationless to actual co-ordinates and back again to reflect the times you will be at an exact loction and know in advance you will be there? For example, I want to post one as locationless, but know on X day I will be at a certain location, and want to change...

Re: Phones & GPS
I still use a GPSr for caching. I prefer it to my phone, but I do carry my phone with me as back up if I need it.

Re: Maps for caching in Japan?
Thanks for all the advice so far. We leave Monday for just over 2 weeks. And to add more interest to the trip, we are running a meet and greet in Kyoto! So, far we have one attendee! do you have the GC number for your event? The Japanese geocachers are very active on facebook, and I can make a post...

Re: Maps for caching in Japan?
Not really a reply about the maps, but having cached in Japan, be prepared for some really good hides. That and the caches will take you to a lot of interesting places full of history in most cases. I suggest reading the cache descriptions fully to help with your searching. If you are going around A...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?
Mystery makes sense to me, as it can be a complete mystery as to where you can find some of these. Some you can do some research on at first (like a street name), and others you can wander around for ages until you find (such as animal foot prints in concrete, which I thought would be easy in my nei...

Re: What can Geocaching Australia do for you in 2016?
Keeping the cache owner from needing to confirm a historical cache has been found is a good one, especially when the cache owner no longer caches or can't answer emails for what ever reason. What follows isn't really that helpful, but might give someone better ideas on how to make a History Cache wo...

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo
The cheap dollar stores usually have some, and I found some in Kmart on Saturday. Depending on how much you are willing to pay, ebay also sells some.tronador wrote:Gnomes sure are scarce this year. Just bought the only one I could find. ... and I'm not happy is so tiny.
