G'day all. <br><br>Having a bit of a problem when I download my daily PQ to update logs etc. For the last 2 days, my .gpx file has appeared to load in to GSAK OK, but the most recently logged caches don't show the new log text, other than the name of the most recent cacher. Have opened the .gpx in ...

On the load dialog, I suspect you have the "always" option selected for the "found status update options" (see help for more information) Change this to "found only" and that should fix your problem. http://gsak.net/images/cap133.png Found only - The found status is only changed if the incoming GPX ...

Is there an easy way (oh dear - why did I say that) to create a filter which finds the x caches closest to a given position. Typically where x is an integer - actually it is max_waypoints for my GPS. Thanks Langy! (Snowed under with work committments => no time to read help files) There are ...

Good pick up  Yes, this looks like the root of the cause. Rather than download your PQ to the Default database and then moving, one work around is to split your PQs into the required states then you can load directly to those database. Another thing to consider. Many users often just put ever...

# Only do the following statements if filter has waypoints If $_FilterCount > 0 # Move the 'SA' Caches to the SA DB MOVECOPY Settings="SA" ENDIF By moving the PQ data from one DB to another, won't this overwrite any existing data in the destination database - thus overwriting your note? Good pick u...

Check your settings for the load. The implication of your post is that you have ticked the box "Clear database before loading". This option deletes your whole database before loading the GPX file, and is not the default recommended setting. This means you will loose all user notes and any user chang...

Re: Can't init COM2
Gah, never mind, tried changing to COM1 and it works. :P Don't know what the deal is with COM2, cos it worked fine with Oziexplorer, but no matter :) I found a minor bug in the Help section for GPS Setup, clicking on Communications port shows info for "Supported Symbols", while clicking on the symb...

I am trying to automate the importing of my PQ's into GSAK, and want to use the import from e-mail function, rather than saving the files into my documents, then importing them. I will create another e-mail account for this, since i have unlimited e-mail acounts with my domain. In GSAK i have 2 sep...

Google Earth - http://earth.google.com/ This free tool is proving to be popular and the next version of GSAK will have a native export to it. However, for those that "want it now" you can download the GoogleEarth.txt macro from http://gsak.net/Macros.php This macro will automatically generate a temp...

Just a few tips some users may not be aware of: Customize the search bar The search bar is at the top of the screen and contains items like the name search, code search, filters, locations etc. You may not use some of the items here, or perhaps you would like to move them around. You can select whic...

I export the current data base with the sort the way I want it, but when I open the gpx file in a new data base the sort is lost. Ok I got it to work, but it would be nise if it kept the number sytem in the user field when exporting it. If you really want an exact image if a database to share with ...
