I'm currently looking at getting Garmin's City Navigator Europe (includes UK). $279 at www.gpsoz.com.au or www.ja-gps.com.au.
Unfortunately both are out of stock. Can anyone recommend another vendor of Mapsource products?

I had one Venture repaired by GME, and after that one got the same problem I repaired it myself. The same issue stops the click stick working properly on the Venture/Legend. The most recent repair only lasted about 6 months before it started stuffing up again, so I went an bought a Legend Cx. Well r...

For ArcIMS map sites, some "services" (the least indented layers in the layer list) either don't work, or don't work when used in conjunction with other services. For these maps try requesting the map without that service checked in the layer list. For some WMS map sites certain layers cannot be req...

Unfortunately this site does not use either ArcIMS or WMS, so MapRequest does not work with it.Cached wrote:Any idea if it can work with this site?

MapRequest 1.1 beta 1
I am looking for a few people to try out MapRequest 1.1b1. MapRequest is a program that can piece together bits of maps from compatible web based servers (e.g. ArcIMS and WMS sites) and save them as a single image along with a .map calibration file for Ozi Explorer. See http://maprequest.sourceforge...

GPSOZ have kindly made available the free version of tracks4australia at http://www.gpsoz.com.au/tracks4australia/ . It is worth noting that it does not include routing information (for models that support that kind of thing).

I have this netgear card and got the same problem. It installs a driver so that it can connect to the network before you get to the login screen, but unfortunately it means that it could change your preferences for what you see on your login screen. If you google a bit you can find the name of a reg...

For a grow-your-own cable, get a pfranc plug. I wanted to connect my eTrex to my HP ipaq, and ended up buying a pre-built cable from gpsoz which includes a cigarette lighter plug. If you plug it in it powers the GPS and the PDA. If you are considering the pre-built route check out http://www.pc-mobi...
