Re: Geocaching Africa?
Anyone had experience geocaching in remote Africa? Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania? I'm heading that way soon with some trackables from Oz. I did a few caches while visiting Johannesburg a few years ago (nothing remote) the best thing I did was to hook up with a local Geocacher (through the GC ...

Re: iPad/iPhone app - Geobucket
I adore Geosphere as it never gets stuck like the gc.com app so often does. I have all of SA loaded and keep it updated with Gc.com PQs that I copied from the pages here on GCA. The only part I don't like about the app is uploading offline logs (like when I find caches on the Wandering Heroes trail...

Re: iPad/iPhone app - Geobucket
I have been a user of Geosphere for the iPhone for a while now, and I load it from GSAK with a pocket query that includes all my final waypoints, GCA caches and Munzees in one load. I hardly ever use any other app. The disappointing thing about Geosphere is that it has not been updated for a long t...

Re: App for iPhone
I like Geosphere ... Apparently it also allows in field logging, something I don't worry about as I can't be bothered typing a decent log on an iPhone keypad. I use Geosphere pretty much exclusively now, especially as it includes all of the caches / games I am interested in (GCA / Munzee) as they a...

We used the iPad while driving around frog napping the over night; was great for those quick find logs!Bronnie_1990 wrote:I've figured out how to view the logs on my phone, and i think i successfully published a DNF (damn it norky!)

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open
100% on the last comment. Also, not to put too fine a point on it, we "try" to keep it simple. The more we complicate the logging mechanism, the great the chance of it all going pear shaped. I think the uncertainty adds to the fun of the Moving Cache Race .. part of the challenge is to judge if it ...

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open
4 frogs found for team HGL/Waterlogged in Adelaide, with a fair bit of driving from our starting point.
Happy with the result, probably not so happy when the kids wake me up at 6:30am
Thanks everyone for hiding the Frogs and I'm looking forward to a fun Summer!

Re: Caching Cleanup
This is a very good idea, but one point is that is seems unfair that you need to do all the physical work for this. Is there anyway to offer some sort of incentive for people to pitch in. ie, If could I sourced some cans and bags and prepared them and send them to you, some token could be sent back...

If you bought it in October this year... the V8 Update is FREE! Ive had GSAK for just over a year and paid $15. It is slightly more or less depe...
