Re: Newbie thread: Which PDA/GPS combination to buy?
My iPhone has latest software operating system. Make sure you have the latest GC software update. There was a note (GC forum? or somewhere I read) that in the previous version there was a memory leak which eventually slowed the app down just like you said. On reflection, that happened to me - slow t...

Re: Newbie thread: Which PDA/GPS combination to buy?
I have got Geosphere but have yet to try it out.
Interesting about the delay when typing. I don't have that problem on my iPhone 4 with version 4.2.1
Just tried it and the text appears instantly as I press a "key".

Re: Newbie thread: Which PDA/GPS combination to buy?
iPhone 4 + Groundspeaks Geocaching app = everything you could possibly need for Geocaching. \:D/ =; I too have tried that, and I must say it works fine. But: Must have a reasonable data connection and I find the screen is a bit small when it comes to reading the description/notes and last found etc...

A blonde calls her boyfriend and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get started." Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?" The blonde says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a rooster." Her boyfri...

I have been using Google maps on websites to show people the location of events/activities. Very easy to put on a web page, with some great stuff that you can do with them. I send people to: http://www.venturers.sa.scouts.com.au/site/map.asp and they then email me the data so I can make a map for th...

Almost like asking which brand of car to buy? :D I have the little yellow Garmin eTrex which works well for me and is about the cheapest of the "serious" GPS units around. Using the car analogy... If are buying a car you usually go for a test drive. My suggestion would be to find other cachers near ...

I found the explanation a bit confusing - perhaps because of the use of two terms: Waymarking and Locationless I think you are saying that trigpoints would be logged just like we log a physical cache. If I can find the trigpoint I can log it as a find, and so can everyone else who finds it. Is that ...
